Very smart dog! Now, I bet he'll take one from Bush in a heart beat.

And this is exactly why I don't allow political discussions on my forums. :(

Maybe I really don't belong here. I would rather not have known people's political views. :(

You may think I'm overreacting or being a party-pooper, but stuff like this really makes me sad. :(

I think it's funny regardless of anyone's political affiliation. And if somebody can't remain unbiased even when they know somebody else's preferences, then they probably lack self-control.

That wasn't directed at you personally, but I'm just sayin'...

I generally can remain unbiased, but lately I've become very sensitive to these sorts of things for very personal reasons.

IMO, there's no reason to be upset about that video. I would have laughed if it had been about GW Bush, Bill Clinton, Abraham Lincoln - or Col. Sanders, for heaven sake.

I just thought it was funny.

I guess you can say the same about political posts that was said about the barage of vB posts that went on for days and days. If you don't like them, don't read them. There's absolutely no need to leave a site over a post.

Could be a stupid pet tricks entry on Letterman.

Actually, the video would be funny if not for the fact that, while I think it's stupid to teach a dog a "trick" like that, but the fact that that poor dog was most likely beaten if he took a treat "from Barack Obama". :(

And that statement doesn't come from my politics, but from observing the dog's reactions.

And yes, you're right, threatening to leave a site for such a reason was uncalled for. I did overreact at that part. I'm sorry for that. :o

Stupid, maybe. Depends on one's perspective. But, I don't see a frightened dog there Chani, only a smart, well-trained dog, which I highly doubt was beaten. So we'll have to agree to disagree

I've taught my dog many tricks, none of them learned from a beating. Probably alot of people would say they're stupid tricks. She's quite talented. :D

I could have sworn I saw a video like this where the rejected treats were purportedly from George Bush. Maybe somebody changed the voice-over?

I don't get much upset about political jokes, as they're generally standard jokes altered to feature the political figures of the day.

    I certainly hope you're right!

My puppy does a lot of "stupid" tricks, too, and as with you, she has never been hit or kicked or anything like that. :) For all practical purposes she's my only daughter. ;)

Maybe I shouldn't be posting in these types of threads. I get very offensive for my party candidate.
