MyBB 1.6

What do you guys think mybb 1.6 will be like, i tested it and it has some feature and such, can't wait for it.

I think mybb 1.6 will be the best free forum software ever used once it is released

the features are really nice , i am waiting for it for a long time

 

2.0 will be better and it will have a new theme.

 

I wouldn't do that far yet. I think 2.0 will have a better chance with that.

Right now the best free forum software is still smf 2.0 imo.

I don;t doubt that. I have seen what the devs can do and they are very good.

My worries is that some basic features that others have might still be a plugin or even a paid plugin.

 

1.6 doesn't deserve all the hype it's been given. It's not like the 1.2->1.4 switch where many things were changed and improved. It's 1.4 with about three new features that are barely deserving of being named that. In my opinion, 1.6 is a security update. Nothing more.

 

I think there is more then three new features Ferron. I checked and it seems there is 10 new features.

 

MyBB 1.6 is quite good but not as I expected though.
