Moving my Xenforo forum to another server

I'd like to move my Xenforo forum to an addon domain on my existing server.

Any recommendation before I move my existing forum to another server?

 

Just remember to update your config.php with your new database details. Other than that it's pretty simple.

Also make sure you recheck that both the data and internal_data directories and their contents are writable. That can be lost in a move. As well as any directories that mods may have installed that need to be writable.

 

The forum transfer went well. Now running on the new server... Way much faster.

The directories permissions were correct, I didn't have to change them. Plus, there is a .htaccess file in every directory to deny access.

Next step will be to upgrade to 1.2
