Is there a way to enable a member to only moderate one section of the forum, not the whole forum like what a normal moderator would.
We are wanting a moderator to moderate the arcade section of my forum only, without giving them moderator powers for the rest of the forum, but I have no idea how to set this up. Can it be done?

Yes, of course. Assuming you are running VB, Admin CP >> Forums & Moderators >> Forum Manager >> Add Moderator (in the menu on the right for each forum). Once there, you can set any permissions for your mod.

That will work but wont show them as having a moderator rank, not unless you change their usergroup too, if you dont want them having the same permissions as other moderators, create a new group, re add the rank and then set up like so and put them in it.

    Good input.

Another way is to manually edit a specific persons title within the admincp if you just want them to have the title. They will still be listed at the bottom of the forum they are moderating regardless. But they will not be listed in the 'view forum leaders' link at the bottom of the main list of forums.

Why not just create a single forum moderator and put him in that group you created for it?

In myBB forum.I have TWO default groups, the Administrator and Global Moderator.

I created a simple forum Moderator for a section of the board. That means create the user group for it and assign a moderator color for that group. He can Moderate a specific board and no where else,he is just a member in the rest of the forum.

Now I have three Moderator groups:

    Administrator
    Global Moderator
    FORUM Moderator
