In the interest of maintaining AA to be a neutral site, I suggest some actual moderation for accounts, threads, etc. to reduce the animosity of the vb4 events of late.

The tone is changing quite speedily and I think I share some concern with others on this.

Get back to Admin only type topics, not choices based on cashflow, business models, themes, etc. for vB4. They belong at the proper site -- vb.com, or .org.

Again, stating this in the interest of keeping AA neutral, not become some rant fest.

Whilst I agree to some degree, I think it's only temporary and the hype will cool down now that the vBulletin website is now back up.

Moderating of new accounts won't really accomplish anything, as we have no way of knowing what the user's intentions are.

Pretty simple to see what the users intentions are when the only times they have commented is to bash on vB.com and not apport anything 'constructive' other than "vB sucks' which I think has repeated more than a scratched CD.

This kind of argument have been going on for a while, even before the huge thread was made, but it's just starting to get ridiculous when people are only signing up to comment on something bad yet they miss the actual admin discussion at hand.

I was referring to the moderation of new accounts. When a new user registers, the only information I have is their username, e-mail address, IP address, and whatever information they filled out in their profile.

Very rarely (if ever) is that enough information for me to know if they are here to participate in the vB-bashing comments.
