I'm about to find the devs of this program and then scalp them. Who the hell thought it a good idea to create an installation process that drive people insane?

Anyway, I need live help, so message me via Skype or AIM. Thanks.

Ok, so I've officially stumped him too. My email is music4david @ gmail.com

I'm probably heading to bed soon, but if you've used Magento once (but preferably multiple times), please help me out. I'm thinking it's an environment issue.

Is Magneto another forum software package?

No, Magento is a free open-source e-commerce software package. Basically, a way to run a website for your own online shop. Handles processing the customer's orders, calculating shipping, lots of other stuff that I'm sure is cool, if I could get the stupid thing to work.

Anyway, I'm almost certain it's an issue with the host. So much for that idea.

So I don't know what the issue was, but I just started from scratch and installed the latest Alpha version and that seemed to have worked, so they apparently fixed it for the next version. Anyway, thanks for the help I received.
