    Howdy,

I see there's a few Mac people here I was wondering if anyone knows free and lightweight image resizer and cropper. Basically I'll be writing a couple of tutorials for Apple mail and they will include screenshots which need to be cropped and resized.

On Windows and Linux I use the GIMP which is great but it's implemented horribly on OS X. iPhoto is out of the question and there images are only going to be temporary and I don't want them added to my 'library'.

    Thanks in advance,
    Dan

I actually use Preview, as well - it's a handy tool.

You'd think that, Dan - it's actually quite packed with useful tools. :)

Preview should do the trick. If not, the application Nick linked is nice.

Preview it's built in and just works. :D The other apps are nice but why use a third party tool.

I cheated a little bit and have been using Cmd + Shift + 4 to take screenshots of the app itself since for now I'm just using it for an Apple mail tutorial.

I love command-shift-4. I have a special folder that my screenshots go directly to instead of the desktop, because I take so many. This needed a third-party application to do though.
