This is a really cool site I've found that I want to share with you guys.
Who hasn't had a video blocked on Youtube for using a snippet or a whole song copyrighted by someone else?
So I went on the search for alternatives and found FriendlyMusic. You can browse songs by genre (and some other filters) and then buy a song for $1.99 each. The license to use this song in any video of your choice (for example your Youtube vids) is included. So Youtube will never block your video or mute it (unless the video breaks the rules of course).

    So yeah, here it is:

I think this is really cool. :)

Not for nothing the library is also very small. I was thinking about how much it would cost a DJ to license an promo video. It would probably cost less then $20 per video but it doesn't look like 90% of the songs the DJ would use for say a wedding are available for licensing.

It's a positive step in the right direction no doubt but they need a bigger library if they're going to become relevant. It would be uber helpful if down the line when you upload your video and they identify a song just to link you to purchase a license.
