I have this vB license (vB4 and suite) sitting here going to rot, which its going to continue to sit and rot. The only thing is I can't transfer it from my account to another account because it was transfered in the last 12 months to me.

Its the only license in the account so if I just sold the account, and had the new owner update the email address to theirs would it be against their TOS?

I was going to check the license but I can't find the 4.0 license anyplace.

The problem is that the account details can only be changed by the account owner. Not transferring it is a big mistake. Since that can't be done in this case, any smart buyer would avoid this sale.

They can change the email with a support ticket, and thats really all that would need changed and I wouldn't have any problem putting the ticket in asking for the email to get changed, I just don't want them to revoke the license after I've sold it for something silly like that.

I'm pretty sure they wouldn't allow an e-mail change from "[email protected]" to "[email protected]", for example. If they know it's going to a different person, I have a feeling they wouldn't allow it.

Don't they ask identity questions just like when you transfer a license?

Yeah, when I needed to change the email on my license a couple of years ago I needed to give my name, address, phone number and a whole load more.

Nope, I updated my previous license email from [email protected] to [email protected] and wasn't asked any questions?

Either way thanks for the info, and I'll just wait for the license to be up for transfer to sell it.

Yeah, I'd just wait Dave. Despite my best efforts I haven't been able to get them to remove my mother's name off the account and use mine because I borrowed her credit card to order my first license, I bought all additional licenses and upgrades with my own card.

No use giving vB an excuse to null the license then you have to refund the money and you have someone who could think you were trying to scam them.
