Do you think ad-blocking software could be cutting into your revenues? do you block your forums from being read by people running ad block software? What else can be done about it?

I've never concerned myself with it, but I do suppose it could be a loss of revenue if so many people had ads blocked.

One question though: If a user visits my site, but has ads blocked, does it count as an impression? Or is it not counted, as if they never even visited?

There is always the anti-ad block mod which hides your forums if theyre using it, still a bad thing as they could easily go elsewhere.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to use that; some great and loyal members use such add-ons and it would definitely be a loss of traffic to restrict access to those users.

I would NEVER block for that. I find that setting up ads per usergroup/type works well.

No way is it. Let those that don't click on ads block them and that will INCREASE your CTR and your revenue.

God bless the adblock mod for firefox. That paid for some new wheels once. :) (or I like to think so lol)

If anything, the collapse of wall street is cutting into my profits worse then anything. So I'am not really worrid about ad blockers

I wouldn't think it would affect, but profit. I think it was Dave who said this, but it actually recognizes the ad, and if you're using ads that gain revenue by impressions and not clicks, it doesn't affect at all, I think.

I don't know, but something is cutting into my profits these past few days. Maybe everyone's outside enjoying the warm weather.
