ImpEx never imports the avatars; what am I doing wrong?

I have tried several times to import a phpBB forum and almost everything goes smoothly except the avatar import part. When I try to use it, it never stops running, and I have to close the browser. I've double-checked the path and made sure it's writeable.

 

Have you tried moving them into a different directory and then importing?

 

I've encountered this problem before. The avatars were stored in a different directory than specified in the phpBB options and they didn't import. Make sure they are in the proper directory on your server.

Though one could argue that Avatars aren't critical data and users can easily upload a new one for use.

 

I'll check that...

They may not be critical data, but the place does look busier when avatars are customized.
