How to make editor buttons admin only

I added some custom bbcode, but want the button to only be accessible to admins. How would I be able to do this?

 

A conditional wrap around the code. In hindsight, it should work.

Tony, that looked like the solution to my problems but there are a few issues being reported by folks in the 3.8x series not being able to use it. Are you using it now with a 3.8.4 install?

 

r u talking so that only admins (not mods, smods ect.) can see the edit button on every post?

Arny, I use this mod on 3.8.2: Advanced BBCode Permissions - vBulletin.org Forum. I've never had any issues with it.

 

I don't use it, but I remember viewing it.

I noticed lots of posts with 'workarounds', so I was feeling a bit apprehensive in using it.

 

Let me know if it works or not, so that I can know whether I'll have extra steps when I upgrade to the latest version of 3.8.
