How to convert MyBB into XenForo

I know there is no official convertor/importer for MyBB>XenForo. If you people post step by step method it'll be helpful. And I would like to know the difference between an importer and convertor.

 

What you can do is, use vBulletin's impex system. So you would have to go from MyBB > vBulletin > XenForo. Importer and converter are basically the same. where importer you can import an existing database into and existing forum. (For example if I wanted to import another forum database into AdminBB so it will add up) where convert is just converting a forum from one software to another. Basically the same thing though.

 

As kaiser pointed out I would say impex would be the best way to convert over from MyBB.

 

So I have to buy VB license? or it is available for free?

 

You have to either buy one, or you can ask someone with a license to help you.

 

I don't have money to buy one and don't know someone who uses VB. I hope you guys are experts, please post method of converting a MyBB forum to XenForo forum.

 

There really isn't much to do but wait until xenforo has an official MyBB converter.

 

I've asked with Kier about it. He said not now. His main concentration is on core features.
