How much is your domain/website worth?

I found this interesting site, which gives you a price number as to what they believe your site is worth.

here's mine:

It's very inaccurate my site(thepokertalk.com) is worth $12,232.79 according to that site.

 

I have no idea what metrics they're using to come up with those numbers, but there's no way the sites would sell for that much. It's showing my cooking site going for almost $6k and that's just impossible.

 

Yea those sites usually are terribly inaccurate. I get 6k USD with mine.

 

They just base the results on things like pr, number of backlinks, pages indexed ect ect.

Good for a bit of fun, but in no means useful

 

It's only useless if your site doesn't make any revenue, has no links, its an alright figure though I would say.

 

Mine has a revenue and it's still not worth anywhere near $5k in my opinion. Even with good rankings, there's just no way someone would pay that right now.

It's kind of like looking at coin collecting value books... They'll quote a high price, but it doesn't mean jack if there's no one out there actually willing to pay that high.

I've never believed these sites, more for a joke then anything IMO

Ha, ya I suppose to some extent.
Some of those sites will actually give you some decent info on your domain, age, top links, dmoz listed etc etc..

but there are more factors in valuing a site then just an algorithm based on the url.

 

It said my domain was worth $16,286.13

not bad if it was accurate.

 

Your domain is a top of the line really. Especially with "Reality tv", check this data out:
Google adwords search:

Reality tv receives about 450k searches monthly.
That's a really good keyword

 

It's fun but useless crap, my sites worth is the amount I generate in one month.
Another site I don't create any income is 12.000$

 

$3,920.89 for gadgetbit.com, not sure I would believe any site like this though
