As much as xbox 360 is popular the niche is VERY saturated, therefore you have to come up with unique content every day. As I said on another threads, your forum is candy and the users are the customers, you forum's content is the "flavor" of the candy, no, you need to get users to love your candy more than anything, than even if there are people with the same type of candy, yours would be unique enough for them to venture and come back, with that you'd need to explore other things that might help the "candy" improve.

Design attracts people, yours looks too common tbh. Spice it up a bit? or if you can't try to find some other template and edit it. Members have to be entertained, by posting fresh content, which doesn't mean daily, you'll be able to keep your readers enjoying your site.

As a xbox 360 gamer, I wouldn't go to your site. Keep trying ;)

First you have to make it look like it's active, then you have to get your site in front of people's eyeballs before they join some other xbox forum.

._. Getting a new skin and making it unique? Making fresh new content at a almost daily basis?

Have you considered having a theme designed and developed for you?

In order for a discussion community to reach such heights, it's sometimes beneficial to invest (financially) in the project from the start - it's something to consider.

    This.

Either you design it yourself or find custom work.

I just visited your forum and it took forever to load :( I don't know if that was a temporary thing or a common thing for your site, but if that happens often the users will get turned off.

It's not loading at all (for me) - was it taken down for the sale, or... ?

no, what can people find on your site that they can't find on others?

if you can't answer that question it's not a great start

try to get your focus more specific -- or really stand out on what you offer

To be perfectly honest, I don't know if converting to phpBB would assist the forum in becoming more active - simply changing the script used generally doesn't do this (unless it's a drastic change - i.e. SMF to vBulletin).
