I am kind of curious on this since i have often wanted to open more website's, but am always worried about the cost's associated with it (licensing, domain name, hosting, etc....) How did you know you weren't going to waste your money doing this? Was it kind of scary buying more than one license? Is it hard running more then one website by yourself?

Not really, but I gradually expanded. I bought a couple of domains back when they where $50+ a year to renew. My first I still have and celebrated the 10th last year. Now I run anywhere from 12 to 17 sites. Depending on what's on the site and what needs to be done.

It's just getting a schedule down like any job.

i didnt make the decision. ive never actually decided to open a forum on my own. the first forum was given to me and a friend when the admin resigned. the other one was when a friend of mine suggested we should make a forum together, and the other was when me and a friend decided to open our own forum together cause we were mods on another forum and the admin decided to merge with a larger site he also owned, and he didnt ask us to be staff.

all ours are free hosted though, so we dont need to pay much. our biggest forum paid for a domain name, but thats about it.

I just had enough interest in another site to give it a go. I kept chewing on the idea. But got tired of chewing.

Basically on a whim... some things have been a waste of money, others take off, others do okay. It's just how things go.
