Folks, if you look at one of my threads, you'll notice that the members over at Walt Disney Boards have a "WDBling" section (Disney characters as 'virtual pins' in that framed area above the sig line) and it is framed by that thin border.

Sample Thread: Give A Warm TheWDB.com Welcome To MickeysAttic - Walt Disney Boards - Message Boards & Forum Discussing The Genius Of Walter Elias Disney!

Since these are 'virtual pins' that my folks are collecting on my site, I'd like to make that frame/border actually look like a Pin Lanyard. Here's a picture of a pin lanyard....

    awww.adminaddict.net_data_MetaMirrorCache_225ac65b16a96c2b5714d1352839f774.jpg

...it's basically one of those strap things that you can display your pins on.

So, I'd like to make the frame/border into the 'strap' portion kinda acting as the border and wrapping around the section with maybe a small 'card' or 'holder' like in the picture hanging off of it on the left with the words "WDBling Lanyard" on it.

Can anyone do this for me? (And then maybe help me in how to code it into that area).... I would be willing to pay if the price is right ;)

I figure that this could be one of those nice touches that other sites don't have. :)

Sounds good TomZilla. Did I describe it in enough detail or did you have any questions?

    Yes -

So you want a greeting card in the background with the picture you provided over it?

Not sure what you're referring to as the 'greeting card'. What I want to do is have the 'frame' or 'border' around the "virtual pins" (character icons) replaced by the "lanyard" and the bottom of the lanyard (that card-like thing) hanging off to the left (or right, whatever looks better).

I did a VERY crude example of what I'm looking for. (see attached) I hope I've explained it enough.

Alright Arnold, in order for this to be completed, I'll need a repetitive image.

I need one image, which would be the one that holds the Tag. The second image, would be the one repeating across. And the last image for the end.

Also, you'll need to know how to edit before I and my partner complete this.

Tom, are you asking me to provide the image to be repeated? Just wanted to make sure.

I'm headed out for a family function, so I'll be back on later tonight to search and respond to this.

I didn't have much of a chance to research it last night. And, I'm leaving for another family function now.

Did you need me to find three separate images for you to work on it for me? Or, is one image (that you can split into three separate images) enough?

Umm, hellow~ I am Tom's little helper on this graphic~

What I want to explain and know if you are able to edit the "box" in which the graphic would be layed out.

For the graphic to achieve the look you made on your mock up, it needs 3 separate graphics.

1)The graphic which will have the tag, ie: the beginning
    2)The middle repetitive graphic
    3)The end graphic.

Why this? Well I could easily do it as one whole graphic, but not all computers are the same size, and we'd need to adjust so the graphic don't look out of place or that there are some parts that can't show. Also on some posts the box expands so we wouldn't want distortion. This is kind of the problem, since you don't know a specific amount of virtual pins that will be put.

So my question is, do you know how to edit the code for the box around the virtual pins?

[Btw, I got accepted into the Disney College program in Florida :P]

FMB, congrats on the Disney College program! :D

So, I'm not too familiar with how to code the images 'around' the box. Would you know how to do that? (or someone else on here :) )

Well, I know in MyBB I would create 3 CSS classes .left .middle .end
Then I would go on teh template and edit the showthread or etc. I do not know if it's the same for vB.

    [Btw thank you!]

FMB, that probably sounds doable, I imagine.

As far as the image goes, I don't have an exact image of what I'd like to use right now. I was thinking that we could have a very simple lanyard wrapping around.

Here are a couple of examples....

    awww.adminaddict.net_data_MetaMirrorCache_a6ce08927ba6700b2932a35e89f8491b.jpg

    .

But, with the tag hanging from the end of it and hanging off to the right side or left (thinkin' right since the sig lines may fill the left side pretty much) in order to key folks in on what it is without thinking about it too much :D

The color of the lanyard that I'd want would be blue. And, wouldn't look "real", but a little more "cartoonish". Hope I'm making sense.

    Does this help at all?
