Here's a thought...

I know it's an old question that's probably not even worth thinking about... but why did some of the original Jelsoft staff leave vBulletin? I know why about two or three left because they publically announced their reasons, and I don't buy into the conspiracy theories that were flying around months ago by the complainers on the support forums... but it just lacks any sort of closure. Like when a forum closes without giving a reason for such.

 

This is a question I was wondering about too. I really don't like Twitter and therefore do not follow the vB staff feeds there, but maybe someone here could shed some light on this.

 

Best to ask them directly because they are the only people that can answer. Chances are they will never say why they left, why would they? It's not going to change anything whatever the reason may be. Everything regarding this would be pure speculation and will continue to be till they are long forgotten.

Although I cannot speak for them obviously.

I having been with 3 smaller companies which were purchased buy larger companies, and eventually I left each time. Basically the magic was gone and the new companies were sufficiently different, that is was no fun anymore. At all.
