After migrating a forum from one host to another and updating from 3.0.3 to 3.8.3 there a few little issues I can't seem to find a fix for.

The first one that is bugging me is that you cannot get a users profile by clicking on the username in legacy postbit. Any idea of a setting I may have missed?

There may be other questions as this process goes along...

    Thanks

Your 3.0.3 templates are most likely out of date and need to be reverted then recustomized.

    Thanks for the quick response...

To save me the headache of searching the templates any idea of which one handles the postbit please.

    Thanks

The postbit (if your user info it on the top) and the postbit_legacty (if your user info is on the left) are the two templates you would be concerned with.

    Ok, this is interesting...

I took did a dif comparison to the postbit_legacy from the new site and another site I run that was a clean 3.8.2 install and the files are exactly the same.

Where might I want to go from here?

    Try this:
Create a new style with no parent:

    • Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Add New Style
    • Parent Style: No Parent Style
    • Title: Default vBulletin
    • Allow User Selection: Yes
    • Save

Then browse the site using that totally default vbulletin style - can you access the profiles now from the postbit?

It may help to get a link to your site. I went to the one in your profile and everything seems fine there, so I'm guessing it's another site you are talking about.

    The site is Metroplex MINI

The link in postbit sorta works, you can open it in a new tab or page.

We are using the default vb style right now.

The link works fine for me in the postbits I tried it on. However, as an unregistered user, I can't actually see the profile (I get told to log in), but I assume it's there.

So, what exactly is the problem you are wanting to fix?

Ummm...thats odd. It's working for me now too.

We had users complaining this morning it was not working and when I tested it was not working for me either. Now it does...

Wonder if the other admin made any changes...ahh nothing like have two people working on the same issue at the same time and not talking to each other...

    Thanks for checking it out!

You probably had to wait for the javascript to be cached on your PC then.
