Use targeted keywords in your backlinks.

This keyword phrase should be hyper linked to your site - florida gators

See all those links in your signature, well, they are not doing too much for your sites.

Also, know that achieving such a position will (more than likely) take time. It sounds like you've started off on the right foot, however - by following through with the advice given to you (in addition to what you've already been doing), I think you'll have some luck.

that's gonna take a long time man

you'd be better off trying for something more specific honestly

news articles, the school sites themselves, sports sites are going to own the first several pages

SEO is tricky. You may know what you're doing, but there is a lot more to it than what is publicly seen.

    This,

I've landed on the first spot on page one and before i ever heard of seo. I don't feel my content is as good as it should be either but i work hard at posting a lot of it. And i try really hard to make sure it's different.

Not to mention it can be hard for even the most experienced SEO experts to get the top spot, if there's a lot of competition.

You really need to go to your google webmaster tools and check out which keywords google sees as being popular for your site, and the keywords in your backlinks.

Those tools are being provided to you for a reason, use them.

Google webmaster tools will show you what google sees in your page and in your backlinks. You can then make the changes needed to target the proper keywords.

Do you have a google account? If not, create one.

Log into your account and click on "Webmaster Tools" - add site.

Just go to Google Webmaster Central , there will be a link to create a Google account if you don't already have one.

    it say this:

    Meta tag HTML file

Copy the meta tag below, and paste it into your site's home page. It should go in the <head> section, before the first <body> section.
