Greetings and Salutations

Hello,

My name is Wayne Luke and I have been involved in building and administrating online communities since the late 80s. First it was small local BBSes where everyone connected directly with a modem. In 1995 and 1996, most of these went to the Internet with telnet connections. In 1998, I started building websites. The first of course was for a local BBS Community. In 1999, I got involved with Web-based forums. First as a moderator at Sitepoint.com and then later as an Administrator. In 2001, I started working with vBulletin and providing support for Jelsoft's customers. In 2003, I left Sitepoint to work fulltime for Jelsoft and have been there since.

Currently I work primarily with vBulletin but work on a little open source projects as well. For open source work, I prefer Wordpress or Drupal. Wordpress makes a nice quick and dirty CMS with a lot of potential. Drupal is for indepth development but takes a lot of resources in my experience.

Anyway, that is me for the last decade or so and I hope to get to know people here.
