If I win the contest, I will be creating a forum. But, I have no idea what genre I should use. I am looking for something unique and that a lot of people really like.

    Any Ideas?

Personally, I wouldn't recommend creating a forum for the sake of creating a forum. An idea and concept needs to come to you first. Does this make sense?

I understand where you are coming from, But, I am not just creating a forum for the sake of it. I know I want a forum that will help users out with their lives, but I just can't find any specific genre to use.

You could make just that; a forum to help users in their real lives in various different ways and topics.

Ya, I know I could. But I want something more specific, It would help me generate better ideas for the forum if I had a specific genre.

How about a forum about mentoring teens? That could help a lot of people. You'd have to monitor everything closely though.

I can't give you a "good forum genre."

You have to choose what's best for you, not what the other person says.

    Good luck.

I'm not asking you to choose a forum genre for me. I am asking you guys for suggestions on some good forum genres. Then I will keep them in consideration for when I actually create my forum.

I can't suggest you a forum genre - only you can.

Creating a forum about an interest of yours is key. You'll have more knowledge, fun and could entertain your audience more because you know what topic is being discussed.

Earlier in this post, I already said that I am interested in helping people out with their lives. I just can't think of a more specific genre to use. That is why I am asking you guys for suggestions. If I do not get any good suggestions, I will just stick with helping people out with their lives.

Now, If you do believe that I should be asking people for suggestions (That I may not even use), I suggest you do not post in this topic anymore, since I made it for some quick help.

That's fine, and I comprehended that from the get-go, I don't need you to explain. I'm a bright bulb, watch me shine. awww.adminaddict.net_data_MetaMirrorCache_cda7f8beeb8ebf02a6dd48365c178d4f.gif

Now does anyone have anymore suggestions that you think I could possibly use?

Sex, cars, movies, music and sports always seem to be popular subjects for forums. Choose one or choose them all.

For helping people out, have you thought about social causes? 350 Organizations, Feeding America, Red Cross, St. Jude's Hospital, etc...

I really like the Music forum Genre idea. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for your suggestions :D

I have not thought about social causes. That is a really good idea. I will look into that also.

Based on what you said here. I would go with a forum, maybe General or a lifestyle forum, where everyone can help each other with lifebased problems.
