Free Forumcon 2013 Tickets thanks to Admin Talk

We've signed up as media sponsors again this year, we have our logo on the main page just like last year and we've been given some VIP's for you guys. Please do not post this info in other forums, this is for the Admin Talk @Contributors only...

We have 6 VIP's right now and we can get more if people are interested.

Not that I'm going, but wtf is a "VIP" for ForumCon anyway? Does it mean you get an extra special pitch session from Viglink?

 

All you can drink beer so you don't have to pay attention?

If I were in the US and specifically wherever this is being held, I'd be in. But I'm in Asia and will be returning to the UK in two days time! Hope you guys have fun there!

 

I think it would be interesting to attend, unfortunately the expense is not worth the potential return (for me), so I'll await the feedback here, from the attendees.

I'd totally take you up on this @Brandon - but I'm in the UK and I doubt I can get a flight / passport, etc.

 

Peter - I am officially daring you to come to FoumCon! and enjoy yourself! Have you taken a look at the agenda and speaker line up for this year? I know you weren't able to attend last year but a lot has changed.

So go on... why not take up the offer of a free ticket, attend the day and drinks on me at the end as long as you promise to give me full informed feedback. You never know you might help make next year even better and even have a good time....

 

Mikey & echo_unlimited you never know where it might be next year... We will be covering it all via our social media channels and we will get footage of the sessions up as soon as we can turn them around!

 

I have seen the agenda, and it is still almost all Viglink and a select group of friends. I don't have anything against Viglink, I think the service they provide is a great thing and it works for countless forums.

But, why should I travel all the way across the country to hear about Viglink, and its friends like Huddler, Say Media, etc. I already know what Viglink does, I already know about Huddler, and so on.

I like the concept of the "speed dating" thing, as it would give the opportunity to everyone to meet people we otherwise wouldn't have met. I'd like to see more stuff like that, not just a half-hour in the morning.

There was one person on the agenda that I'd listen to, Vlad, but the thing is that I've known him for a number of years already and probably know more about him and his site than he'd ever disclose in public anyway.

I think you really just need to break out of the Viglink clique if you want ForumCon to gain mass appeal. Do something radical, like not let any of this event's speakers do a presentation at the next ForumCon. Heck, don't even let anybody who represents the same company as the current speakers do a presentation again. Really shake it up.
