Yesterday, I worked on this user guide. It was supposed to be a basic intro and how to get around guide but turned into a full-on user guide.

So far, all I can see that I'm missing is keeping up with new stuff ("What's New") and expound on following but it seems pretty complete to me. Am I missing anything?

Before finalization my copy editor will fix all the grammar stuff. Is there a demand for this; Should I bother making a non-site specific generic copy and release the source document?

That's a great guide. More communities should take the time to write one up like that.

Ditto on the great writeup, nice work Dan!
As far as making a general one, I don't know about that. I think the part that really makes yours nice is the screenshots and walk through on your forum. Also the exact links make it real easy to navigate for new members to try features out.

Here is something similar that AdminExtra made for moderators.

    Dan, looks good!

I'm not sure about a generic one but making it available as a template would likely be of use to other XF admins. EG: Instead of a pic of the generic XF screens, leave it blank with a {insert pic of the X screen from your site here} instruction.
