    Whilst I was day dreaming today, I had an idea about having some sort of Intranet thing. The idea of this would be that there would be some kind of authorization validation then once in the intranet staff or selected users could chat to other online staff, check there emails, moderate the forum without having to be on the forum (Check reported posts, ban users etc)

    I was thinking something like this for my site would great. Ideas on this suggestion?

    Yeah, this would be awesome, indeed; if only something existed that would make for complete integration with vBulletin or whatever forum script is used.

    A place to manage calendars, timelines, tasks, projects, correspondence, and everything else we do to operate our forums would be perfect.

    I don't see why not! You might want to check out OfficeZilla for some ideas, by the way. :)

    Something like this (or similar) would be incredible, particularly with a kick-ass interface and an intuitive feature set. Imagine the possibilities...

    I was thinking of doing this since Nick mentioned Office Zilla before, I wanted something more stylish and my own... I had a PSD design and all, but Fmb forgot that she can't code well!!!! ;~;

    Sure - we're referring to a system in which staff members and/or co-workers can communicate with in a private manner... think of it as a "virtual" conference. Participants can share documents, schedule meetings, and even use a thread-based discussion system.

    Oh right, I know what that is. So like a forum with a .htaccess page protect on, using some kind of simple software for a forum?

    That'd work, too... but I think that Ryan (the original poster) is referring to a system in which combines a variety of features that are non-forum related.

    I can see how this would be useful for forum admins, but I think it would be even more useful if the entire forum could also use some of those tools. I bet some admins would even pay money for such a thing.
