Forum Milestones

In the journey to build a community, we pass certain "milestones." Such as getting 50,000 post, 100,000 post, 1 million post, 10,000 members, 25,000 members and so on.

This thread is being created for members of this community to post their milestones.

I would like to be the first to post my milestone. On October 12, 2009 my forum broke the 1 million post milestone.

Congrats Kevin!!! Wow... a million posts - I can't even imagine what my forum would look like with a million posts!

 

Yeah, that is one milestone I would certainly be patting myself on the back for. Probably for 10 to 15 minutes too.

 

TalkParrots has reached 5,000+ posts and 100+ members. [Less than 3 weeks]

The Linnie Forum's latest milestone is 50,000 posts. (Almost to 1,000 members) [20 months old]

AdminAddict's latest milestone is 50,000 posts and 1,000 members. [5 Months old]

 

Motoring Alliance had it's best day ever yesterday, 10/12/09. The perfect storm of the largest competitor having site issues (it's an IB owned site too) and the monthly mass PM I send to all members announcing voting is open for the MINI of the Month brought back many of the members that had registered but not been active. Received many PM's back from people that the site had grown quite a bit since they last visited, works well and has features they like gives me the warm fuzzies they will be more active. And we all know activity breeds activity....

 

we reached 5000 posts recently, although we should have more cause our old forum reached 15000 posts, but we switched hosting companies cause we felt we would get more features and stuff available

we don't have anything like that, I did post when we hit 100,000 backlinks, I guess that is a bit of a milestone

 

My forum turned 2 years old today. Does that count?

 

Of course! That's a great milestone. One of mine will be turning two in February.

 

We (Cable Forum) recently passed 100,000 threads and 1.5 million posts.

We also set a new online record the other week ;

On another note ;

vBulletin.org is just 200 away from 200,000 threads - and just passed 1.7 million posts.

 

Congrats on the milestone...

On the other hand those 200 threads will probably all be "When will xxxx mod be ported to vb4?

 

My forum celebrates it's first Anniversary next week

 

We just recently hit 2+ years old, and are sitting on a nice 56,000.

 

Hit 1250 registered today, go live date was May 4.

 

My board is 1400 days old now

 

Text and Shoot is 12 days old, 45 members, and a nice 1,083 posts.

 

Just reached 5,000 threads on my Linnie Forum. (Other stats at this time -- Threads: 5,004, Posts: 58,919, Members: 1,045)

 

one of my forums has been open for 9 months, 3 weeks and 6 days.

thats not exactly a milestone, but it was the age the forum we came from was when it closed due to the admin falling out, one of them deleting everything and people fighting.

may we continue to survive til our first birthday, as no other forum with our similar group of admin ever did (hopefully this will be the right combination of staff to keep a forum going)

we also have about 2000 posts more than they did

 

My forum is 10 months old.
Recently it reached 20000 posts and 1000 members.

I am proud of it!
