Due to lack of traffic and confusing forum categories I changed my carpetfittingforums.co.uk to an international support forum for all floor coverings, so it's now the FlooringAdviceForum.com | Flooring advice forum for all types of floor coverings.

Other than a logo (which I'm working on for all forums) and vbseo (sort of waiting to see if it's advantageous to upgrade this to VB4 when it's stable so am waiting on that) could you suggest any more improvements?

I've installed the language thing from the Org and it's working brilliantly, it's getting traffic and Adsense clicks from many none English speaking countries and I'd recommend it to anybody on a .com, .net or .org.

Cheers in advance (probably Michelle that gets this first knowing her?! :p )

It looks a lot nicer today with the fixed width style than it did last night.

Style: Your style is decent, but doesn't really convey or come across as "flooring" to me personally. Blue and white is nice, but for flooring I'd expect a wood page background at the very least.

The status_icons all need replaced with custom ones. Nothing will spruce up your forum instantly with like custom status icons that relate to flooring.

You have two welcome messages on the forum home. I'd remove one, and either leave the space empty, or utlize the space for something else. (Such as the translate mod)

I'd move the translate mod from the top of the navbar, to below it.

Remove the "valid CSS" button from the footer. Even if your forum did validate it's pointless and completely noob to display. BTW: W3C CSS Validator results for http://www.flooringadviceforum.com/index.php (CSS level 2.1)

Remove the "Valid xHTML" button from the footer. Even if your forum did xHTML valid it's pointless and completely noob to display. BTW: [Invalid] Markup Validation of http://www.flooringadviceforum.com/index.php - W3C Markup Validator

Since I'm not a member, I can't see what if any custom modifications or additions to vBulletin thats been made outside of the Member of the Week and the Top X stats. I suggest adding a gallery to let users show off their flooring work.

Its a nice start for a flooring forum, hopefully you guys can do good work with it, by making some minor adjustments and improvements.
