I have so much work to do right now it's not even funny.

But I just had to take the evening off and have some fun.

Nothing ground-breaking, but I thought I'd give a few glass buttons a try.

The animations just show the different states that you can use with each on within the PSD file.

I really like the glossy effect to these! Very nice-looking, in my opinion. Great job! :)

    Thanks! :)

It's really easy to get the glass- (or glossy-) look once you get the hang of it.

I'm just trying to come up with images that are different than the standard rectangles or capsules. :)

Has nothing to do. I can see the forums animated smileys fine, but I can't see external embeds.

It makes me wonder if animated new thread/new reply buttons entice members to thread or reply more :D

The animation is not meant to be in the final version of the buttons. :frown:

It's just in these examples to show the different states that you can easily create with the PSD files...as I said in my first post.

They can all be sized when you "Save for web" in Photoshop to suite your forums.

When you download the image pack from vBulletin, all of the buttons are at least twice the size of the actual buttons for your forums. You need to resize them to fit.

    Same here.

Now...any comments on the actual designs?

Chani, I love the designs! One of them would be great for a 'food forum' with the look of a hot dog! :D

Seriously though, very nice. The third one is my favorite of the bunch. I'd love something like that with maybe the Mickey Mouse ears or something. Gotta get some ideas together! :)

I did. But I chose to ignore that. ;) (It's also why I made the third...)

    Thanks for your comments! :)

    ArnyVee,

Would you like a glass Mickey? :)

What I was thinking was something along the lines of the attached (very crude, "Paint" version of what I'm looking for, but you get the idea I hope) image. I'd like to use them for buttons if possible.

These may be a little large, and I went just a little artistic on the labels, but let me know what you think and if you'd like anything changed. :)
