Anyone have any experience with using the vBcart add-on to vBulletin?
    vBcover Forums

If so, do you find it to be reliable/easy to modify/template etc? I'm thinking of buying it, but it will cost more than I bought vBulletin for, so I need some reassurance that people haven't had bad experiences with it. :D

    Thanks in advance!

Oh dear. Truth be told, I want/am in the process of setting up a paid styles website, and I noticed that most others use vBcart. I was a bit concerned about the encryption, but I can't really find a half decent alternative.

What makes vBcart ideal is the customer area, ability to restrict download access for up to 1 year, and that I know it can be styled to my liking quite easily (looking at other websites).

Thanks for the post – I'll now read up on the links in the post above ^^.

    :)

IDK, I know that guy posted that same review on all the vbulletin support sites. If it's the only product that has what you need, I guess you don't have much of a choice. I've never personally had a bad deal with the developer, but that's one story that always comes to mind when someone is asking about the vbcover/vbcart products.

Most of the Made by Mary addons include multiple vulnerabilities. If you use them your best interests are served by hiring someone to do a third-party security audit on them.

Never looked into vBCart myself. If I used a cart, I would want something that can handle physical as well as e-goods. Plus it would need to be able to handle sales tax on a state by state basis. I am required to charge sales tax on internet sales to people living in California.
