I'm pretty bored with vBulletin's standard postbit and was wondering what forums/premade templates managed to do something new and exciting with them. Doesn't matter if it's the standard postbit or the legacy postbit, I'm just looking for ideas!

I've seen a really neat one, but I'm not going to share it - because we're going to be implementing it here. You will see it in due time. :unhunh:

    Yes, it's quite superb. ;)

I can't really think of any "excellent" examples at the moment, but FMB, I'm quite fond of what you've been working on. As I mentioned in another thread, it's quite unique.

I am actually quite fond of the vBulletin 4 postbit. It is a more minimalistic than the one in 3.8.X with fewer graphics and clutter. By default you see the user's basic information of name and avatar on the left. It also has the four buttons (edit, quote, multiquote, quick reply) in the corner. And that is it. The rest only shows up when you need it so there is very little to get in the way of reading threads. Even the reply and edit controls are inactive until you need them to be active. All done by moving your mouse.

I'll post a screen shot when I can.

Yes, please post when you get a chance, plus any other screen shots you're able to; we're all very interested in seeing what's in store :)

    Me too! :)

I'm interested in seeing some neat postbits, too. My personal favorite, as Nick mentioned, will remain a secret for now because we'll have it here soon. But one that is worth mentioning is this one. Nothing crazy, but I love the background image.
