Does this mean that my new server has two dual-core processors, or is it just showing that I have two cores?

If im right that means you have 4 cores..

As they are both the same are both dual core (2cores) which means 4cores..

So in theory you have a Quad Core processor.

Someone correct me if im wrong....

    I'm not sure about that.

The package I bought DID say Athlon X2 4200+ OR BETTER, but it said nothing about dual CPUs.

    Anyone know for sure?

That's a dual core server (one CPU). 100% positive on that.

No. Two processors will not equal the speed and efficiency of a true quad core CPU.

Who is your host and what is your plan? If you could link us, that would be great. Generally, if your control panel is anything like how Windows displays 2-core or more processors, it'll display it as two processors when there's only one.

My host is JaguarPC, but they don't list this server. It was a clearance sale of their older servers listed on WHT.

It will suit me just fine for a while until my forum grows. :) It's pretty zippy right now. :D

I concur w/ da Boss. Single CPU w/ 2 cores. Just named each CPUID the same.
