Cute contest. Well, hello : )

I'm known on the Internet by primarily two identities. One is attached to my real name rather thoroughly. This is the other one : )

The reason is because while my forums are not 'pornographic' per se, the two biggest are adult oriented, and I am planning a few additional projects. I'm big on being tasteful, at least in presentation - no nudity in public, yadda yadda.

By far the largest forum under my control is the Elliquiy Adult Roleplaying Forum - We'll be reaching two million posts soon, and the AJAX shoutbox logs some ten thousand messages a day. It's the largest and most active forum in its niche, and the second most active Play-by-Post forum in the world (after RPoL).

I learned a lot about server administration, security, and optimization from Elliquiy. Making Simple Machines Forum Go Faster is a part of my expertise, I have performed similar optimizations on my phpBB and MyBB forums, though I have not published them yets.

Blue Moon Roleplaying forum is the second largest of my forums, running phpBB. It only receives a bit over a thousand posts a day and a few thousand messages a day in AJAX Chat. Still one of the ten largest pbp forums around. I basically adopted it after Elliquiy's main competitor blew up for the third time, in order to give members who didn't like E's gated aspect a place to play.

Personal Role Playing forum is #3, running MyBB. It was built because the previous two look down on intermember relationships and showing it off. It's not strictly adult as far as content is concerned - since that's not its purpose. It's tiny - only a few hundred posts a day - but growing.

I have several other projects planned - a Drupal-based administration forum (to gather and publish the server admin tricks I've learned), a BBPress based blog forum (which will most certainly be a lot racier and thus will not be linked here), a Vanilla forum for a webcomic I'm working on, and an erotic writer's forum in PunBB.

Yes, I'm stress testing all of the major free forum softwares. How'd you guess? : )

I'd even do VB/IPB if I had licenses for them.

I was actually referring to the contest with a VB/IPB license up for grabs. It's actually interesting enough that I may try for it >_> *has a small army of moderators*

I do all of my own hosting and domaining, however : )

Don't hesitate to jump right into the contest. I think a vB or IPB license would be great for Elliquiy.

 

You can pass these down to the second and third place winners or keep them and give them to somebody of your choice. Whatever you do or don't do with them is up to you.
