Custom Moderator Tools

This was probably my all-time favorite feature in MyBB when I used it: the ability to create post-based and thread-based custom moderator tools.

It's basically a specified series of actions that will be performed at the single click. It adds your custom moderation tool to the list of those that already exist (move post/thread, split posts, close thread, etc.).

It was easy to set up something like a "Trash Can" system. I'd have a custom tool that moved the thread to the Trash Can and added a reply saying "Thread trashed".
You can do so much more with it though.

I posted a suggestion on vBcom last year hoping it would be added, so I'm really hoping it appears somewhere in version 4 (but I'm not getting my hopes too high).

Do you guys use this feature as well? What are some custom tools you have set up?

 

When I last used MyBB, I did indeed use this feature - it was superb, as mentioned (and useful as hell). This is something that I'd love to see implemented in today's scripts.

 

That sounds pretty neat. I wouldn't mind seeing that on vB.

 

It'd be a fantastic addition, wouldn't it? Something that I'd use quite often.

 

That's a really nice feature/modification that I've never seen before. Having used MyBB a lot in the past, I've missed out. It would be awesome to see this in vBulletin 4.

 

I have specific groups with specific tools. The anime mods are able to trash threads or posts on the Anime forum ONLY, I can also just look up at a member and give them special moderator capabilities. *-* MyBB <3
