Contest Suggestion: Best Logo Contest

Howdy-do!
I think having a weekly/bi-weekly contest could be cool.

Ideally, "Best Logo" would be cool.

It would work like so; a thread would be created at the beginning of the week, users will submit their site's logo/banner and at the end of the week, administration and such will appoint the best logo. Or, the members can vote on the logos.

The prizes could variate every week/how ever; Like for one week, premium membership, next week, banner in the rotation for free, etc.

This idea would work something like "Signature of the Week," on Logo of the week.

Well if we were purely a graphics forum, then yeah I could see this being a fun recurring competition... but we don't revolve around graphics. :o

 

I agree, Nick; however, this site is for administrators/moderators/etc.

All sites have a logo or banner of some sort.

No graphic skills are needed to participate in the competition. Just gather your site's banner and post it.

 

Yes, I understand what it entails, Tom. As I said - we aren't a community on the basis of graphics. A contest like this is a graphics competition because we are voting for the best logo, which is a graphic.

As I said, I am not in favor if this idea, but it's up to the community. I'd like to hear more feedback from other members.

As Nick said, if it was a graphics site it would be awesome, but it doesn't revolve around graphics. Though it would be fun.
