Closed Topics

You should make a whole new forum (well, like Water Cool, Rants, etc...) thing that you put all closed topics in, so the regular sections don't get cluttered. I think that'd help! .

Well, like PIT pointed out, since it's so popular, the stories section could get an aweful lot of closed topics...

Don't get me wrong, but once a thread it closed, it just naturally sinks to the bottom of a forum, so I don't see how it would clutter things up.

i think it'd be terribly confusing - sometimes people just stop posting in threads (almost always, in fact), and they go away... if they stayed and the ones that really got closed went away we'd be looking all over for old things when we wanted them

plus we couldn't ahve a separate forum for each other forum, that'd be impractical - and if they all went one place it'd be a mélee of random stuff

it'd be fun to have a forum like that. cause it's really intersting to see what topics have been closed and why

 

victoronehalf> I think it'd be a lot less interesting than you might think. Usually, threads get closed for the most unexciting of reasons, such as spam, overactivity, or flames, which are usually edited out prior to closing.

I suppose I could see the overactivity being interesting to some, but usually when a thread is closed for overactivity, a new thread will be started to continue the discussion. I really can't see that many people wanting to go in an read a 15-page thread when a new one has been created for the same purpose.
