    Hi -

Can anyone recommend what are the best type of SSD drives to utilize in a server environment? My set up would consist of RAID 5 + 0, consisting of 3 striped drives, mirrored with another 3 striped drives - to allow for speed and maximum 2 drive failover capability.

    My questions would be:
    1. What are the best SSD drives in the market (how would I determine this? - as there is way too much information on google, and can't seem to decipher some of it)
    2. Should I focus on a 6 disk setup, or an 8 - as speed is key, and the server will be utilized for taking MySQL queries from about 3 heavy traffic sites.
    3. How many hot swap drives should I keep as spares for either 6 or 8 drive set up? Is there a best practice ratio?
    Thanks!

Go with Intel. That's what I use. Another good choice is Crucial. I've heard a lot of good about them.
