    My website is made up of both Wordpress and VBulletin. I have a membership plug-in for the Wordpress with its own user database and members, and the VBulletin forum section with its own database of members.

    I would like to act on the absurdity of this situation, and given there does not seem to be a reliable database bridging system (I want a reliable long-term solution, not a short term hack) I am trying to decide what to do.

    At this point, I am thinking seriously about importing all my Wordpress user/members into VBulletin, find an email-newsletter solution (MailChimp perhaps) and closing off the Wordpress member’s area
    .
    I will then concentrate on building my forum as a community. I have started by using VBadvanced for the homepage feature;

    I plan to continue using wordpress for the main article content and import that into the news sections of Vbulletin using the RSS.

    Thoughts anyone?

    Cheers
