    Fantastic color combo!

Your home page is also quite awesome - I like your side bar where you have photo of the month and archives.

    Looks really great.

I find the site confusing. I click the link above and go to a site with a brown color scheme called Blokes 'n' Sprogs. Not exactly fond of the color scheme but that is not the issue here. So I see latest content in the middle and click a link. All of a sudden, I am on a site called Mummybrain and it is turquoise pastel. This isn't the site that I wanted but it seems to have the content that I clicked on. So my thinking is that I'll go back to the search engine and find a site that is more than just a doorway and feeder to another site but one that has real content.

The Blokes 'n' Sprogs doorway does two things that I am not fond of personally. Its three crowded columns with very little whitespacee, and too many borders. Secondly, its monochromatic with low contrast on the smaller fonts that make them hard to read.

Overall the site seems to have good content and is active. If you're users like it that is all that matters really. However if you change it so the color scheme is more open and consistent, I think it will go over better with first time visitors. If Bloke's 'n' Sprogs is truly meant to be just a doorway than it should be clearly shown as such and explained to the user why the entire site layout is about to change.

    I agree.

Maybe make it more blue and white.

Or, ask your fathers what colors are more father-like, if any are. Is that what you were getting at, WL?

The brown could work but everything is brown. The woman's design has white backgrounds for the main text which makes it easier to read. I just see it as a lot of effort was put into the Mummybrain style and very little was put into the Blokes 'n' Sprogs style. Personally, I'd prefer a single gender neutral style over the entire site to get me interested in a family matters website.

    Well said, WL!

I think Riz should let her husband/fiancee`/boy friend take over the site design wise.

Then, let her put the changes into effect.

Great idea for a site, but I found the hollow black outline of the logo hard to read against the brown background.

How much of your forums are the same? Is it the same forum with a different skin? I can't tell.
