This is straight from my google analytics account.

Source ----- pages per visit ------ time on site ----- bounce rate

    Google ---------- 7.05 -------------- 00:08:29 ---------- 56.35%
    Yahoo ----------- 17.21 ------------- 00:20:52 ---------- 22.85%
    Bing ------------- 19.13 ------------- 00:23:09 ---------- 21.50%

It appears to me that google provides the least targeted traffic, with an average 56.35% bounce rate. While Bing and Yahoo have bounce rates in the 21% - 22% range.

Out of the three, bing seems to provide the best traffic.

Total amount of traffic for this site in the past 30 days:

    3,602,335 Pageviews
    356,454 Visits
    166,613 Visitors

I have started doing everything i do with bing. I have even set up a bing search on my site. Google has gotten a bit out of control if you ask me. The new chrome they came up with actually tracks what you do.

Do you have a way to track how much of that traffic converts to new members?

You'll be surprised to also find out that Bing traffic generally converts at a higher rate than Yahoo, and a much higher rate than Google as well.

I have a running poll on my forum asking how people found the site, I guess I could add a bing and yahoo option.

    -- edit --

I edited the poll on my forum and added the bing and yahoo search engines
