It was either yesterday or day before yesterday my main forum had about 34,000 indexed pages with google. This morning its over 1 million.

And its not just on 1 of my forums, its on all of my forums. One site went from 5,000 indexed pages to over 30,000.

Go to google and use the site:site url command and see how many indexed pages your site has.
    Code:
    Results 1 - 10 of about 954,000 from www.survivalistboards.com
Just a few minute ago it was over 1 million

    I think my site wins.

Seriously though, I'm not that knowledgeable of SEO things, but maybe the spiders were more active today?

    Hey Kevin,

I have a good feeling that a new algorithm hit the crawlers this past week. I've seen a lot of people reporting super awesome results when they check into their backlinks as well as local pages indexed.

    Congrats!

I wish my Google Webmaster Tools console would update to reflect more URLs being indexed. Thanks for the information!

And I'm still showing 5,840. Which is why I posted an exact number, input?

    Hm, that's odd.

In other news, my Linnie Forum apparently has 24,100 pages indexed. Holy cow! I don't think it's been anywhere near that high ever before. That's three times more than AA. :P

Nope. "400". My goal of pushing the site down in the google ranks has succeeded!

I don't want people finding the forum from searching google, telephones and word of mouth work much better for us.

I believe the disparity between you typing in "site:adminaddict.net" and me typing it in could be a geography related.

I just read on NetBuilders that we aren't the only ones experiencing this; many people are, in fact. What's going on with Google?? - Net Builders

Apparently, it might have something to do with Google Caffeine going live (http://www.adminaddict.net/forum/search-engine-optimization/google-caffeine-going-live-4873/)... and the differences that some of us are experiencing (Abomination), may be because one of us is hitting the new data center (with Caffeine enabled) while the other isn't.

I'm glad to have discovered a possible explanation for all of this. I was a bit confused about what was going on.

    All 3 paragraphs, dead serious.

We have a small niche site, while anyone is allowed to join and participate, the average internet user is not encouraged to find us. Advertisers pay to show ads to this small but tightly focused group of people. It is a site of real live people that buy expensive things frequently.
