Are my Sites Up

Howdy Folks,

There's a neat free service out there called Are My Sites Up than pings your sites up to 25 times per day and lets you know if they're down via email or SMS. They've got an iPhone app too. I've been using it for quite a while and never had any issues with it. My sites are rarely down but it's nice piece of mind to know I'll get a text if they are.

I had signed up for this the last time my site was down and I didn't get an alert this morning when they were down again. Maybe I didn't complete the registration, I'll have to check it out again.

 

Argh.... my husband signed up for this and keeps track of *my* site. Every Monday morning he says "Gee, it looks like your site had some trouble last night" and I say back "I backup my attachments every Monday morning and every Monday morning you tell me this..." He just *loves* to repeat this every Monday to bug me. Ain't love grand!

 

I've been using them since they started (there weren't paid plans back then) and they are really good. They provide explanations and info on what errors they got while visiting your site.

 

I will check them out, I have been using websitemonitoring and had lots of spam from them since, thanks for the share!
