anyone have a bluray burner?

    Just bought my first bluray player and its awesome.

    Now I need a BluRay burner. Anyone have any suggestions for a good one thats affordable?

    I do not, but I would really recommend looking on NewEgg. Is it for desktop or laptop, Dave?

    going to be for a desktop system, though if there are affordable firewire/eSATA bluray drives available I'd be open to one of them

    Definitely look on NewEgg.

    Don't like the idea of firewire powered devices when it comes to digital data.

    I would have went for a liteon drive as I understand that they use plextor components in their drives which are very solid. All I buy rom wise is plextor and liteon.

    If that's true, then it's good to know because I know Plextor has a very good reputation (although they charge for it, too).

    Plextor, Liteon, and LG are all great. Sony and Phillips drives are troublesome.
