AME 2.5 YouTube Issues?

    Anyone else having problems with AME 2.5 and YouTube links?

    I did check the AME thread on vb.org and see that 2 others have reported issues possibly since YouTube made some changes for 1080p.

    Only other item I've changed recently is a vBSEO patch. Did check their site as well and saw nothing, but then again it is so darn hard to search for AME that I may have missed something.

    What kind of issues are you having?

    To answer your question, no, I have not had any issues reported to me by my members.

    Only a link to the video is displayed. Can't play the video within the post. This is only for new entries. Videos already in place before yesterday are fine.

    I only had that happen with a "not embedded by request" sort of video is added.

    But, I tested both a 3.7 site and a 3.8 site and they both work with new videos added. :shrug:

    Have you changed the configurations of the AME? At least on my site it works perfectly fine.

    Since this test worked, then we can rule out the vBSEO patch as being the problem, because I patched it yesterday.

    However, I'm not on the latest version of vBSEO, so maybe that's why. Nathan, are you on the latest version or not?

    1. I've not changed the AME settings since it working properly.

    2. I do not have vBSEO.

    3. I checked against a style that has no parent, to try and rule that out and the next to the link it says... External embedding Not available.

    4. Only template changes i have done are according to this: Extra forumbit controls - vBulletin.org Forum but it should be ruled out b/c its not on the No Parent style.


    arg!! Nick is hacking to make his work and FMBs on the secret!! :P

    Issue resolved.

    AME Settings > Extract Info -- Set to NO

    Go to post, Edit, Save w/ no changes. Bingo they are showing.
