The little feature in the Admin CP to write down whatever you want and save it - do you ever use this?

No. Don't really use any of the "Dashboard".

    You bet!

I typed "Testing admin notes" in there and every time I look that is still there!

It would probably be useful if there were multiple admins for keeping track of why certain things were done.

On the other hand I should probably use it for keeping track of changes made to the admin CP settings. I just tested it and it found the word 'Testing" in the notes even though it was not visible (I added random stuff to make the message longer) using control-F in Firefox.

I have a word document for logging changes. The notes do reside in the database which could be handy.

Eh, I use it from time to time - not consistently, however.

I will sometimes use it to leave little "funny" notes to my fellow administrators (or, have small conversations with them). It's rather amusing.

When you add something, can all administrators see it?

Oh, I meant for vBulletin. I posted this in the vB sub-forum.

I've never really used it. I should probably give it a try and see how it works.

I never even noticed it existed until now. My staff are used to using their forum by now anyway.

Yeah, I've used the feature in the past. I used to use it to keep track of what I want to include in the next month's newsletter (we used to publish a full-blown monthly newsletter). Other than that though, it doesn't get much use.

I sometimes write down what I want to do but cannot do at that very second. So essentially, I use it to not forget ideas I come up with, if at all.

The one thing I use most for note-taking is the "notes" aspect of Microsoft Outlook. I have tons of random notes in there. It's what works best for me.
