AdminBB sold?

I just read this thread on dp, it seems this forum has been sold.

But I'm a little angry that we weren't told by Kaiser himself

 

Kaiser's a great admin. I'd be sorry to see him go. He's been dedicated to this place all this time, but I guess real life commitments always come first. I just hope that whoever has bought AdminBB runs it with the same dedication and care.

And I doubt it's uncommon for admins not to tell the members that they're selling the forum. Think about it...it could cause quite an uproar and work people up before anything even happens. He was probably thinking it would be a smoother in-and-out transition this way - that is, if you guys hadn't stumbled upon his selling thread.

 

Well that sucks most forums go down hill after they are bought by a new owner.

 

Depends on the forum.

Personally, I think we owe it to Kaiser to treat the new admin with the same respect and stay active on the forum, despite it being sold.

It's up to us to keep the forum from going downhill.

 

I do feel a little betrayed not being told that he was planning to sell it as I would have quite happily taken it over completely if I had been asked, as now it seems he has just taken the money and pawned it off to the highest bidder...I guess we shall have to all wait and see what happens now

 

I was expecting an announcement or something but right now no one has joined or taken over Kaisers account so...

 

Exactly my thought he could have Put up same Selling message over this site too i am pretty sure other staffs and members would have been more then happy to take over the site unless he has any excuses.

 

The fact that he didn't talk to his co-admin makes me mad for you, that's not a good thing at all.

Running website like adminbb you need some passion when you run after money this is what happens . Now go back and check Does Age matters thread somwhere in this Forum to make decisions like this .

You guys are aloud to share your thoughts and there is nothing wrong with that, and I dont see a problem in doing that as I respect you all. I wasnt going to tell anyone untill everything was official. I went on vaction for three days and today is when everything will take place and I would let everyone know.

Thats exactly why I didn't want to mention it until everything was official.

iTuner I always hated your attitude and the fact that you seem to have no respect for anyone at all. First off if it was about the money I would've sold AdminBB months ago as it has been a struggle almost since the beginning but I kept it going thanks to my passion for this forum. And age does matter when you have to work full time to support a family at 17, then come back from work and go to college. Life is not easy and the last thing I can do is go on the computer and run a forum when I have real life things to deal with. Life comes first for me, if I didnt sell AdminBB and keep it going at the state it is now it would just be complete waste.

I know I'm not going to like the new admin... Just because, not trying to be "that" guy. Kaiser, I've known you since RapidFireGaming man... You helped me with FrozenGaming. I can't thank you enough for the many times you've helped me. You've raised a excellent forum, but now that you have sold it, I believe it will stay at a leveled rate. Put it this way, A Mom has split up with a Dad and moved out. The Mom finds a new boyfriend and it takes awhile for the Son to get used to the boyfriend, and sometimes, the Son might act disrespectful towards the boyfriend because he misses his Dad. Same situation here. Keep in touch with me whenever on Facebook man.

And what about this ? Common isn't that a first thing you should be doing informing your staffs and co-admins about your plans ? They might have something else to say about it .
