    Hello people~

I am creating a new anime site for Piosga, since the last one I do NOT have FTP access so I cannot make it better, so I decided to use the forum and redirect them to this new site I am going to make.

I reused a domain I had called pisogaupdate.com but the site itself would be called Piosga Remix, maybe... I do not know yet, maybe you guys can help me out on that one.

This will not be a 'normal' anime site. Most anime sites base their site on a blogging software [Wordpress, Blogger, etc] , I will actually make it forum based. Thanks to Labrocca's Tabbed Meny plugin, We will be able to devide the forum in the categories needed so we don't have a huge mess when adding new series, etc.

I am still in the proccess of thinking of a new skin for the site, I will probably make it black and ruby red with some white, round corners, just smooth looking. Maybe an anime picture as a background [I will create it of course]. Anywho, I want to get the members back, Pisoga was known as a good site before it was destroyed. I keep getting discouraged by some members due to bashing. One thing that has had me procupied is that some members actually love to bash on me, but I do not do anything because I might be seen as a horrible admin, which I know I am not. But some members have influence on other people, greately at that. Though when I create these forum I will let those members know what's up.

Other than that, some of my mods are enthusiastic about the idea. I am estatic about it.

How could I deal with these problematic members? Should I let them in my community new community?

How would I go about this new site? I already have it set up. :P Hopefully it will bring the normal Pisoga back.

Sounds like you're really taking the time to plan this out, and that's very smart of you, FMB.

I think that when you're ready to make the switch, you should post an announcement on your current forum and let the members know that you are moving to a new site.
Tell them that although there has been some trouble on the current site, you are willing to give everybody a fresh start on the new forum. Ask them to please join the new forum with a better attitude, and to contribute to the general good of the community - unlike the way they are currently behaving.

Also, by the way - have you considered waiting until this contest is over? I don't mean to push it onto you, but as of the last Top Ten Tuesday, you were pretty high up there - you could be starting with a brand new vBulletin license, some nice add-ons, new domain name, etc. Something to possibly consider... ;)

;)The board and new domain WOULD be nice, but users have out-cried. Maybe if I win I can convert~ I really think that a vB license would be more than awesome for this project. Users just want change now, and they have waited for almost 2 years to get it[not because of me].

Good point. Converting from MyBB to vBulletin is not a hassle at all; I've done it before with no problems. :D

Yes! I am actually working on the theme at the moment. Should I make it wide or fixed? It will have a sidebar which will integrate the oh-so-famous chat. and also latest threads.

I think a lot of people will agree that we have made a mistake by going for a fixed width here. I'm only on a 19" monitor so it isn't bad, but any bigger and people say it's a total waste of space and is way too narrow.

I would go for a percentage of a fixed-width, but not absolute pixels, if I were you.

I always use percentage. Pixels are a hassle for me. Though the reason I thought about it was because it looks pretty nice if you want to have a static GOOD background with a lot of graphic detail. I don't want the site to be have so many graphics, I will probably keep them as GIF so they could load easy on slow internet like mine. As much as I love PNG, they load slow for me.

I thought of making a contest 3-4 months after we've officially opened, or when we hit the 50 user mark. I don't know which would be the prizes, as It would be hard to please anime addicts. I don't trust eBay, so I wouldn't give out an eBay certificate. Rofl, kind of funny me writing everything on paper.

Well... I kind of made the logo/banner. Any comments/feedback would be appreciated.

Maybe call it something like Pisoga Reloaded?
Sorry to hear you're having a problem with bashers. If I were a user who truly didn't like an admin, I wouldn't join a forum they started, so maybe you won't have to worry about that. If they do show up on your site to start trouble, I'd ask them "Why are you here? I thought you didn't like the way I do my job?".

    Thanks about the logo~

@ Michelle: That's the thing with these users, they say they hate me, talk trash about me, but STILL go to the site they 'hate'?

I love the Idea of Pisoga Reloaded... I will make a poll, or just ask on the chat.

Other than all that. I started making the theme. To start it will have two themes, one fluid and one fixed, the whole colors of the site would be, Ruby red, Black, White, and Gray and everything in between~

I haven't quite figured that out myself. I guess some people just thrive on negativity.

Love the default avatar, very nice!

Yes, pretty confusing though. I had one of those people who 'hate' me ask me for graphic help and such~ I didn't deny.

Some users are not taking this well for the fact that they all think I might be like the first admin, Hunter2001, who disappeared for more than two years[still MIA]. I e-mailed the old members to they would know change is coming and such.

@ Chris, lol thanks! The users LOVE the avatars.

Did they still post hateful messages after you helped them with the graphics?

Not yet, but I have a feeling I will.

Though I know that once you become a mod/admin you are bound to get hateful comments, in an anime community that is. I've noticed that an Anime community differs quite a bit from normal ones, we tend to make it more real and such. Anime is all about fantasy coming to reality, therefore in the community we get treated like in an anime. We have relationships within the community, groups of people who make their own 'clans', members get quickly jealous when some one new is trying to get modship, etc.
