Do any of you have a network of your own? Perhaps just a little thing you put together to better keep track of all your websites?

If you do, does your network have a website of its own? Do you brand your websites with your network's name? Would you prefer visitors of one of your websites to not know about another?

I had/kind of have a network. It's nothing much, but I figure if I'm going to have so many domains on the web, I might as well connect them all somehow.

Chris and I once tried to get serious with this but we never made it too far. I'm interested to see if any of you have active website networks.

I've been considering, I've owned HutterWeb.com (my last name) for quite a while and that's originally what I planned to do with i., I'd like to make a nice site out of it showcasing my different sites BUT it's another website to maintain. :p

    I know, I feel you.

On the other hand, though, it's a nice thing to have. Once you have it all setup there is almost nothing more you'd need to do except for add a new website to it if you ever make another. If you feel comfortable letting people know of all the websites you currently run, this is a nice an organized way of showing them (even if it's just a link on your sites, and you're not directly sending it to them).

    .

Well, Nick and I have attempted to create a network and I think we are still keen to do it. We named ourselves 'Eagle Connections Network'. Our website is Technology, Web Development and Business, which at the moment I think Nick is using as a blog.
(Oh and BTW Nick - I was looking through some of my old back up disks yesterday and found the ECN web site ;) )

I used to be the Technical Director (then promoted to Network Director) of the Vortex Forums Network (closed) and was incharge of 3 forums. It went pretty well for the first few months but then everything started to go down hill. The two owners were bickering all the time, one of them would make one change then the other would reverse it and in the end it crashed. When the Network disbanded I stayed on as an Admin on both sites (Then I met Nick and he joined). We tried as hard as we could to revive and drum up activity on both sites, but at that point I think they both had a pretty bad name, so they were beyond help.

We were given one of the forums, and the other one completely died.

So In my opinion, the network has to be run well, by people who know what they are doing otherwise you aren't just going to kill the network, you are going to kill all the sites attached to it as well.

Let me know if you're still interested in doing something like that - I'd be up for it.

As LTC mentioned, him and I once tried having ourselves a network. It never really worked out, but I'd be game for getting something going (and I'm sure LTC would, too) if you guys are interested. :)

Right now I'm trying to establish a network to give the appearance of order amongst my seemingly random assortment of website that I have collected. I just have never had the energy to fully complete it. Might just be something I have to sit down and work on over the summer.

"SevFusion" is a very unique name indeed. Any particular reasoning behind creating/choosing such a name?

It's always great to see the inner-workings of how people come up with the names and ideas for their communities/websites/networks. ;) Best of luck.

    Well thank you very much.
I don't think i will only have it like a network I might try to expand it later to a whole company.

My mother think i should create my own company since she has one and my father also had one long time ago :).

    That's fantastic, Jevoro.

My Dad is the Chief Executive Officer of an engineering firm that specializes in the field of medical equipment. Over the past 38 years, he has put mass amounts of dedication, time, and money into it, building it into a large, multi-billion dollar corporation with remote locations all around the country (primarily in Japan and Australia). By continuously investing in such a project and dedicating vast amounts of his time into something that he loves, he has become one of the most prominent executives in his field.

Running a successful business can very much be compared to running a successful network. In order to do so, you need the following: dedication and passion. Without them, the chance of such a venture succeeding is unlikely.

As I said earlier, best of luck. :)

That's great - and hey, things happen. You'll always run into small "snags" along the way, but it's worth it (well to me it is). :P
