Let's hear about @cionfs How long have you been running a forum / What inspired you to start?:
My site, before becoming a community, it was a blog where I wrote tutorials.
Once you reach a good number of visitors I decided to convert it into a forum.
I began my adventure into the world of the communities because I think that sharing your knowledge is not all bad.
So I decided to open a forum for support CMS.
What's your Forum Software of choice & why?:
I chose vBulletin. The choice fell on this CMS because it seemed to me more professional. I am currently thinking about XenForo.
Where are you located?:
I'm come from Taranto, Italy. I opened my forum on 15-09-08 .
I apologize to you for my bad English.
Where do you see your websites in 5 years?:
I'd like to develop the forum into a real community as a point of reference for experts. In a short time I should like add a portal.
How often do you work on your forum?:
I have a staff composed, luckily for me, by competent and prepared people.
Of all the projects you’ve ever been involved in, which did you enjoy the most?:
I have participated in several projects but I have moved away, for business reasons, to each of them.
What are your biggest strengths as a forum admin? Weaknesses?:
I deal mainly with vBulletin and vBSEO. I have moderators who deal purely with other sections (mybb, wordpress etc.). Everyone is specialized in something.
How do you define the ideal Forum Administrator?:
A decisive person, sympathetic and helpful with users.
A person who does not believe to be "the best" than users.
Would you ever consider yourself an expert in the field of running a forum?:
No. I think I'm just a person who likes to study, understand, and understand the various aspects of the forum (software and management).
What are your top five technology MUST-HAVE’s in running a forum?:
Firefox + Firebug, Fireworks and many other things.
What site would you like to promote with this interview?:
