Hey mods, I understand the Alien Soup theme requires green, but I gotta say the current color scheme is downright depressing. It is too dark! Can you lighten things up a bit. Having switched back and forth between AnandD|CK and here (to research some of my rants), I hate to say, but their site is brighter and cheerier to use (although the content and actual environment is doom and gloom). Most abductees claim they were molested by the aliens (haven't you ever seen Independence Day?), since when is being abducted and molested by aliens been a cheerful thing? . We're changing around the color scheme a tad.. Right now we have a contest running, which *might* be extended once again.. It can be found in the Announcements forum. $100 supercertificate from giftcertificates.com to the winner of that very contest. Current deadline is in about 28 hours.. My eyes and my emotional state thank you for the new color scheme!! Appropriate Alien-ness, without the dark, brooding colors!! Those changes you mentioned were put into effect July 4th, 2000. (We seem to have a habit of putting things up on holidays eh?) These are new changes, which we're still in the process of working on. Ahh, I'm happy you like it. . We'll have some other adjustments made to match the new website when that goes live. I'll state again, that the new website will be just that. It will emcompass many other things, the forums (what you're reading now of course) will be but only 1 link out of about a dozen to start.
