I like Java but I like Processing even more! Processing, if you don't know, it's basically Java made easy. It can be used to do multimedia stuff pretty easy but if there's the need of using a Java library it can be done.

I know PHP, but it's not my favorite. My favorite programming language is Java, because it allows me to code the Poker Software that I want, and make it available cross-platform. That's why I'm learning it, but I also need my PHP knowledge for the web site coding.

HTML... Because it's the only one I know lol.
But from using scripts running PHP I have learnt a little bit by customizing free scripts when making my own sites and obviously you learn some stuff along the way if you do that. But still, HTML because I know what I'm doing with it.

C++ purely because you can do almost anything with it when it comes to gaming, I also like HTTP a lot since it sort of gives you that customization you really need to make your website or forum unique compared to others.

I want to change mine up a little bit, like I said I love PHP but lately I have been learning more and more C++ and I have to say it's slowly becoming my favorite, I just need to learn a little bit more.

I have been using .NET for the past 10 years and i am in love with the technology. I think Microsoft has been evolving with each new version it comes up with, and makes programming more fun!

My favorite language is ASP.NET, having worked with VB.NET and C#.NET, my fondness for this language has evolved! :)
The ease with which you can adapt this language, is something which is commendable.
On top of it, there are various CMS out there, which make use of ASP.NET nowadays, so it eventually helps you to create your site in a jiffy. That is another feather in the cap for ASP.NET.

Well, as I work for ISP and my main responsibility is to take care of all (very personalized) scripts which are used to manage our hardware (like servers, routers etc) remotely - I mean via console port - written in PHP, I have to be 'fluent' with this language. But - to my own point of interest - I know NET family also. I use it on my, nearly done, personal web.

Python is generally awesome: you can use it for just about everything and the state of libraries is awesome, as well as the related tooling like Pip.

Golang is also quite good: it's very fast, easy to use and great for web development. The toolchain is good, and has very fast compilation times. However, there aren't as many libraries as python.

Lua's also quite cool - very simple to learn, quite fast, and you can integrate it into projects in loads of other languages very easily. However, there are almost no good libraries and some routine tasks are harder than in Go or Python (running command, using files etc).

I've been learning Java recently and personally I don't think that I would like to stick with it. I feel like other languages like C#, C++, Python, and PHP (for web sites) are better in general.

I am very conflicted to pick a favorite.

I like Java because it was my first real language that i developed in (I'm not counting BASIC or the TI-89 programming language that I used as a kid, or the dabbling in C++). I guess it was my first OO language, and got me thinking about that whole side of things.

I find database design relaxing (I'm weird, okay?) so MYSQL and SQL for Oracle are up there too....probably prefer the former, just because I have to use the latter at work and I'm never sure if what I have learned is deprecated or not (it probably all is).

C and I have a mutual understanding. it understands that I hate it and I understand that it is very useful. Kinda like when you're a high schooler and you have an old beatup car. Sure you want a Mustang, but that clunker still gets you to school every day. You'd be stuck without it, and when you get old, you will miss it.

C# is something I'm coming to like more and more. However, we are just friends at this point.

I started coding on pure ASP and was truly easy to me learning this programming language, while I could not understand how to make PHP would work despite everybody used to say this ways way too much easier and powerful.

ASP.NET appeared then and this made harder get things working like before and this forced me to review what was doing wrong with PHP, being able to make it work.

PHP is my favorite programming language since :)
